Man re-imagined.

KHYAL is a passion project by Abdullah Al-Mahmudi, Tareq Tamr, and Nauman Khan — three men who set out to create the kind of clothing they would love to wear. Abdullah comes from a family of garment designers spanning three generations. Tareq was always fond of Eastern clothing but struggled to find pieces he could wear comfortably in any setting. Nauman is a lifelong community servant who sees clothing as one of the most transformational tools to express his values.

When their paths crossed, they were determined to create a line of clothing that would allow men to connect with traditional values while being fashion-forward. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Allah is Beautiful and He loves beauty." KHYAL was built to embody that sentiment in every garment.

The challenge

  • Brand needed to feel premium, modest, and distinctly Islamic
  • Logo required both English and Arabic scripts
  • Multiple colour versions for all usage contexts
  • Icon mark needed to work at very small sizes
  • Pattern library for social media, garment tags, and packaging

Deliverables

  • Main logo — dark (maroon) and light (off-white) versions
  • Arabic logo mark
  • Icon / symbol (the 'alif mark)
  • Crest asset
  • Pattern 1 — Arabic typographic band

  • Full colour system with usage proportions

"The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, 'Allah is Beautiful and He loves beauty.' We strive to embody and experience that sentiment in every garment we make. KHYAL. Man re-imagined."
